The initiative is being implemented in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia, with the aim to inform consumers about the advantages of the new compact detergents for daily use.
Concentrated detergents have higher proportion of organic and inorganic substances. Compact detergents estel comprise the same components with those of standard, but their innovative formula allows different concentration of active ingredients in small doses. These detergents emit less chemical residues in the environment, while maintaining the same performance, so clothes are washed with detergents compact as clean as when washed with detergent standard. Using innovative technology in the production of compact detergents saves energy sources, along with the savings in transport and packaging, and also provides a lower level of chemicals being released into the environment.
Compact detergents are proven result of changes in the standard formula detergents, in order to reduce environmental impact. Using a lower dose of concentrated detergent estel formula compared with standard, washable clothing the same amount and quality remain unchanged. Compact detergents have a lower coefficient of risk to the environment and reduce environmental impact, which are the main goals of this initiative. Compact detergents are useful for reducing energy use and packaging in production volume, along with the reduction of transport costs. In EU countries, detergent powder with innovative formula was introduced in 2005, when most admitted to the same standards for the use of these detergents. The current EU standard is kompaktizimit third level, which means a maximum of 75 grams in a single dose detergent. The detergent estel industry is improving formulas that enable customers to achieve maximum results in washing with smaller doses recommended for bathing. However, given that the first project was not implemented initially kompaktizmit in the Western Balkan countries as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia, consumers in these markets are still using traditional detergents. For this reason, Kozmodet has launched this year a new project kompaktizimi PREP-P-BP, in order to bring compact detergents in Bangladesh and other neighboring countries. This is a voluntary initiative and each company is free to decide how and where to implement it. We want to encourage customers to adopt the concept of sustainable consumption in their families, which will help at the same time safeguarding the environment where they live.
Consumers and society as a whole will benefit from the project.
